We relaxed in the camper that first day some, too as it was pretty hot!
And after dinner hit up our favorite Italian Ice joint!
Coming home to a beautiful sky that first night!
Then that was the end of the sun for us! Not to worry, though - it was overcast which kept it nice and cool for us which is rare for August in Texas! So, we'll give up a little sun for that!
The next morning we set out to do a little crabbing - though we mostly caught hermit crabs which were definitely in abundance - like by the 100s!!
And hit up the splash pad as the sun went down!
By mid-day the second day Jess and her family made it down!
I have the cutest great-nieces!!!
The lazy river wasn't finished the last time we camped here...we were excited to see it up and running!
We reserved a cabana and spent the whole afternoon riding!
My parents couldn't camp this time, but they did come down for the day to visit!
This is how you chill!
And you have to build sand castles when you're at the beach!
This boy struck up a conversation with the ladies while walking Pepi - puppies and babies always attract the ladies! Guess he's found that out early!
Selfie with my mini me!
Daddy was brave letting these two drive! LOL
Out for an amazing seafood dinner, which of course, starts with oysters on the half shell! YUM!
Snow cones are another good way to chill in the summer at the beach!
We had such a great trip! Now that school is starting we'll see how busy life gets so we can figure out when we can plan the next one! Labor Day weekend is just around the corner ya know!
