We had beautiful weather all week - a couple summer showers that brought in just enough cloud cover! And windy enough to keep all the mosquitoes away! It was wonderful! The kids swam and dove off the diving board on the pontoon. They skied and road the knee board and the o-ragious! Emma tried skiing for the first time - and while she didn't manage to make it up and stay up, she gave a really good effort and kept trying! She'll get it sooner or later b/c she was up better and better each time this trip!
Picture overload coming your way now from our week - from iphones, my waterproof camera, and my 6D!
Michael and I bought one of the huge mats this summer and it was worth every penny - the kids had a blast!! And some of the adults, too!
There were peacocks and unicorns, too!!
This kid enjoyed them, too!
The second day this one caught a rock to the back of the head - no, not a kid from our group. It split his head open and while he could have had stitches, we ended up super gluing - yes you read that right - it back together. Michael and I actually weren't even down at the lake yet as they went down a day before us, but they googled it to make sure first. Our one and only ER trip so far was for a split head on Emma and the doc glued it back together. Guess if it was good enough for her it was good enough for Aaron. He did wear Emma's swim cap the next day just to try to keep as much lake water out as possible...he is one tough boy!
A view of some of our sites from the water!
SMH!! Ha ha ha!
The new diving board for the pontoon was also a huge hit!
The unicorn trying to escape out to the middle of the lake!
All of my sister's grandkids are summer babies - so we have a cousin bday party every summer for them, too while we're camping. This year she made cute shirts, too!
The whole crew!
And since my niece is pregnant with another summer grandchild (due in August) so she had a shirt for him, too that she wore!!
This boy loved the fishing more than anything - he even passed up more boating and swimming to catch fish!! I love it!!
It's cooler to fish sitting down in the water mom!
Amazing weather on the horizon!
Which led to a double rainbow!
The west end where my nephew camped had the best view of the sunsets!
And every night was movie night outside under the stars!
Some chill time!
Aaron on the o-ragious!
Ready for another turn!!!
Love my water camera - but sometimes you'll see water spots! LOL
Loved just floating and swimming out in the middle of the lake while they boated around us!
Floating and cloud watching!
Trying to bury their cousin!
Didn't get pics really of Emma trying to ski - Michael got a few videos and this pic of me helping her into her skis.
Aaron learned how to clean perch this time, too (perch that he caught) and we cooked them up the night we had our fish fry!
And of course the annual backgammon tournament - Emma was playing all week, of course! This is our favorite game and she is really good - she beat me FIVE TIMES - and I thought I was good myself!
My nephew's wife takes silhouette pics on their travels so we ended up doing a photo sesh with everyone one night!! They all turned out pretty good!
This is one I got of my parents.
Me (with the wine glass), my mom and my two sisters.
Aaron with his glove - this was Michael's idea!
Emma sun catching!
And all the cousins...until next time Rayburn Park!
