Countdown Is Over

School starts TOMORROW!!!

Aaron is so ready - he told me this evening that I didn't have to walk him to school. That I could just drive him and Emma and he would go to his class on his own! I informed him that parents had to walk their kids to class on the first day of Kindergarten! Hey - I'm sure he'll tell the same fib to his son, too!! **sniff sniff**

I still cannot believe he's starting Kindergarten - he promised me that he wouldn't grow up! He promised!!!

Emma, on the other hand, is not ready for summer to be over! She's been having way too much fun! LOL! She is quite the little momma, though - tonight she laid out her clothes and Aaron's!

Aaron and his little friend Jordan haven't got to see one another that much this summer and since they won't get to be together in Kinder we invited Jordan over for a sleepover Friday night so the boys could catch up on some good quality play time! They definitely made the most of it, too!

Aaron also got a fun trip this weekend with daddy to go muddin...no, not mudding...muddin!! He had a blast and came home telling me all about it!

Sundays are my prep days...I've been doing the Advocare 24 Day Challenge - I got started with friends I do crossfit with and I have to say, I have never felt better! While the challenge has a finite number of days, the prepping has become a way of life! I eat paleo for the most part and I prep not only my meals, but also my snacks - and it's a pretty therapeutic routine for my Sunday evenings, too! I've rediscovered a love for cooking!
This week's menu - sweet potatoes and rosemary sauteed with bacon & onions, roasted seasoned brussel sprouts and chicken "spaghetti" - spaghetti squash actually! It is all super yummy!

My workouts at the box go better, I sleep better, I feel so great all day, no more fatigue...it's healthy! And my kids love to eat food like this anyway, so it's something I can do for my whole family. I don't have to cook a meal for them and then something separate for myself! 

Well, big day tomorrow...I am gonna need my strength to keep it together tomorrow until I get out of Aaron's sight! Good luck to all your kiddos who will be starting back to school tomorrow!
