Excited for this new show

I'm a big fan of The Pioneer Woman...as I am sure many of you are as well. I've been reading her blog for several years now and love her cookbook!!
(via) I've never read through her Black Heels to Tractor Wheels story, but since it's now a book I've decided to get a copy for myself!
(via) I love how she describes herself, too:
"I'm a desperate housewife. I live in the country. I channel Lucille Ball, Vivien Leigh, and Ethel Merman." The photography section of her blog is what originally drew me to her - I love all the actions she has for PS & all the tips. She has a lot of guest posts, too that have so much to offer and it's so awesome to have all those great food shots of her's to follow along when you're trying out a recipe. I love her cookbook as much for the pictures as for the great recipes! And well, now to add to all this she is also getting her own show on The Food Network!

My Little Circus Clowns

The circus was in town - we went to see them Friday evening & had such a blast! The kids were on the edge of their seats...well, Aaron was all over the seats really!! And I couldn't believe it, but they stayed awake until about five minutes before we made it home - which was getting close to 11:00! I guess all the excitement had them wired - okay, the cotton candy might have had something to do with it, too!!! LOL

Emma being silly! Emma & Carlton  They got the biggest kick out of seeing the elephants up close...and this one painted us a picture!! Aaron was more interested in watching the elephant paint than in looking at the camera! Can't imagine why? We took Emma for the first time when she was a little older than Aaron, but not quite two years old. She did really well & I have to say for the most part Aaron did, too - he did get a little restless a couple of times, but overall had a good time. We waited longer to buy tickets this time so we missed floor seats l…

And I have books that have a few pages torn, this would be great to do with other pages instead of trashing the whole book!

I WISH I had seen this before Aaron was born - so would have made this for him!

WILW & Wordless Wednesday - Watching My Kids Play

There is nothing greater than the feeling of watching my children interact & play with one another! It warms my heart! My prayer for them is that they are always close & love one another dearly!

Subway Art - Children Edition

I'm not a HUGE fan of the subway word art that is such a craze these days. A few select ones I've seen I do really like, but would be limited on where it would fit within my house. I did think it would be fun to do one with family names, but since there are only four of us it would be a tiny one! LOL! I did think one with the line from a favorite book, though would be very cute for a kid's room. So, last week I was playing around in PS & made this one. I thought it turned out pretty good & continued to play with it & made several others in various colors. The blue & the green are my favorite. The yellow & pink are kinda hard to read honestly...
(to read well you really need to click & enlarge these smaller ones)
I love this book - I cry every time I read it.
If you like this feel free to leave a comment with your email & I'll send you the original to print.

Two Weeks & Still Looks Good

I think this weekend I might still go get them redone b/c you can tell how much my nails have grown out. I have to say, though I was quite impressed with the shellac manicure. I did hear a couple of stories where people said their nails were thinned out - I think b/c you have to soak your nails in acetone to remove the polish. And I also heard a couple of stories where people said the technician actually filed or drilled down the top of their nail (like you do for acrylic/solar nails) - but the lady who did mine did not do that at all & it's been great.

(FYI: Labels done with LabelBox app - Great new find!)

Wordless Wednesday

She can get him to do anything! Tea parties & Barbie Dolls - now PlayDoh
I think this is something only grand-children have the power to do! LOL

Drive-In Movies, Pool Time & Out With Friends...

That just about sums up our weekend...and in that order!

I just wanna say these are the best floaties I've ever seen!! The safest and a great way to help kids learn to swim (and NO I wasn't asked to review these or anything - we just have them & think they're wonderful)...

In the pool this weekend I literally just put Aaron in & let him go! Now, of course I was close by and we played, but I didn't hold him or anything except moving him around with me...his face was always out of the water and if he got tired (when you think his face might drop in the water) he rolled to his back and just floated like that & his face could not turn into the water.
(this pic didn't come out as clear, but it's the only one with Aaron floating all on his own - I wanted to show how these floaties kept his head out of the water)
They were great for Emma, too who loves the water but is timid about being away from the edge - till now! She really trusts these things & …

Aaron Loves the Magna Doodle

Well, I don't know if he'll be a write or an artist, but this boy just LOVES the magna doodle! I guess I need to buy a few of those little travel ones to keep in the car. We have a small one at home and Emma has a big one that is at my parents' house and this one in the pictures Aaron brought home from the sitter's house...so I need to just get him his own travel sized magna doodle or two or three and keep them all around! He does not put down the one we have at home! He wags is all over the place & writes on it all the time!
I love the picture below on the left. He looks like he is contemplating what it is he wants to write - like he is trying to figure out how to express himself!!
I also wanted to share the beautiful sky we saw this morning on the way to school...and the sitter's house...and to work - we make the rounds in the early morning!!!
Isn't it so pretty??

WILW & Not-So-Wordless Wednesday

This week I am so proud of my little girl!!! I'm LOVING how well she is doing in gymnastics! Her coach mentioned moving her up into the KinderGym class a couple of times b/c she was doing so well. Well, last night they decided it was time to give her a trial class with them, so next week we won't go to our regular Tuesday class, but we'll go on Wednesday instead & given that all goes well that will be her new class permanently!!
Way to go Emma!!! I'm also LOVING the awesome rain we received yesterday - though it did knock out our power for an hour, but it was still so great to get the rain! Aaron loved it, too! Michael brought him outside in just his diaper yesterday when we got home from gymnastics & he splashed around in all the puddles with the big kids - he was filthy by the time we went in! He had a great time, though.

I'm LOVING that my mother is now cancer free (pancreatic cancer) for FIVE YEARS and after her last appointment yesterday she now only ha…
