So every year on her b'day I take Emma's picture in our rocking chair - this chair belonged to my Grannie and at my baby shower when I was pregnant with Emma she gave it to me. She wrote the sweetest verse to me in the card "from Emma" talking about how I would rock her the way Grannie and my mother rocked me when I was a baby. I've always said I want to lacquer the card or something like that to the bottom of the chair - I haven't done it yet.
So, now that Aaron has had his first b'day, too I took his pictures in the chair as well. It's a great way to document how much they grown from year to year.
The rocking chair is in his room right now b/c he was waking up in the middle of the nigh so often - so the light isn't great. I brought out my speedlite, but since I wanted to use my 50mm it didn't work well b/c with a fixed lens you have to be so far back - the flash was hitting the door frame and causing more shadow than good light. I should have moved the chair out of the room, but I can't do anything about it now...I still like most of the pictures!!
Aaron's laughter is infectious!!! I love the way he laughs so much!!
And of course, big sister had to get in the pictures with him!
She's telling Aaron he is 1 year old now - he's like, "Eh!! Whatever!"
"Yeah - I get it, I'm 1! I can do that, too!"
