I'm not a baker...I rarely cook anything sweet...every Christmas I do make peppermint bark, though - red & greed ones - though that really isn't a cookie! I think my favorite cookies ever though are my Grannie's peanut butter cookies!!! And you can always tell which are her's b/c after she puts them on the cookie sheet she takes a fork and puts lines across one way and then the other on the cookie before she bakes them!! You can tell her sugar cookies the same way b/c she has this special glass that she dips in sugar and then presses on top of her sugar cookies to put the impression on them!!!
But - I don't have her recipe for either! I will have to ask her for a copy - but I do know if they didn't have the fork marks or the glass impression the taste would definitely not be the same!!! LOL!
