So lately, and for obvious reasons, I've been hitting the snooze button a lot in the morning. Well, this morning instead of hitting snooze, I actually turned off the alarm, sooooo....needless to say I slept late. Next thing I knew it was 10 minutes till 7:00, which is what time I'm supposed to be at work. I was up and out the door with the kids in less than 20 minutes and made it to work around 7:30. I am one of the first ones in every morning anyway, so it didn't really matter anyway, but still...I know it's b/c my body is starting to fight me on this lack of sleep stuff. Aaron went down pretty easily last night, but then woke up around 11:30. I held his for a moment to soothe him then laid him back down & he went right back to sleep and didn't wake up again until around 4:00 to eat!! It was a nice 5 hour stretch of sleep for me, but obviously still not enough. Everyone who talks to me on the phone asks what is wrong - I guess I sound like I am about to cry or something, but it's just that I am so very, very tired and it comes out in my voice.
At least today is Friday...though I don't see much rest over the weekend. We have to be up early Saturday b/c the contractor is coming over to tear up my kitchen, which we'll have to live with until Wednesday when they come back to make it pretty!! Hmmm...guess that means no kitchen duty for me next week! LOL! Don't mind that! We also have a wedding Saturday night so that means we'll be up late Saturday night, too and up early for church Sunday morning. Man - I am getting tired all over again just writing about what all is going on this weekend. Next weekend I'll get to catch up, hopefully - we are going out of town on a little mini vacay! I can't wait!
