Okay, I admit it! My name is Hanna, I'm 32 years old & I'm a Twilight Junkie! I loved the Stephanie Meyer's Twilight books and couldn't put them down!! I went to see Twilight when it came out & though it was very good I was a little disappointed b/c there was so much that had to be cut out of the movie - understandably, too though b/c it would have been a 4 hour movie otherwise. I'm anxious to see if a little more is brought in in New Moon, which comes out November 20th! I watched the latest trailer today and am even more excited to see it now!!
God has truly blessed me with a wonderful family. Michael is a great daddy & stands up for what is right and Emma has been a joy since the day we found out we were pregnant!! She makes us laugh every day - okay, sometimes she makes us wanna pull our hair out, too!!! LOL!
I'm thinking a lot of my parents today b/c during this time of my pregnancy with Emma my mother was in the hospital with cancer. Deep down I think I always knew she would pull through, but that didn't make my fear of losing her any less.
So - today I'm thinking about all the things about my parents I'm thankful for. Our little family, which is growing, has such great support from my parents - they love Michael so much and respect him as a husband & father & have welcomed him into our family with open arms and for that I am so thankful. I'm thankful for the love they have for him and for our daughter (and son on the way). I am thankful for the lessons & values they pass on to Emma that she will always remember. I am thankful that they are always there for us and the comfort we get in knowing that they always will be. I am thankful we know that they never judge us so we can always speak freely with them & turn to them for solicited advice when it's needed.
Life is not perfect - so we shouldn't pretend that it is. We face many trials in life and seem to focus on those most often - so it's important to take the time in our lives to highlight all the good that is around us and what we have to be thankful for! I like the idea of Thankful Thursday & hope that I am able to share every week what I am thankful for in my life!

He is very active, but mostly in the evening. I felt him much earlier than I felt Emma, but I hear that's usually the case after the first pregnancy - guess I know what to expect & look for this time around. I have to go back to the doc in a few weeks for the wonderful glucose test. They keep saying, "Oh they've improved the drink - it tastes like Hawaiian Punch or Gatorade." Folks - hate to break it to you, but I don't like Hawaiian Punch! The drink just gives me a headache.
Emma is cute with the baby...er, my belly! She kisses my tummy & talks to her little brother, though sometimes she does insist that it's a girl in there. She is going to be ever so disappointed with he gets here! LOL! We still don't have a name or even a list of candidates for him yet - I think if we did get a name decided upon it would make it easier for her to come to terms that she is going to be sharing a bathroom for the next 16 years with a boy! Ewww!

The plan for the evening was for the three of us to go out to the Christmas Tree Farm for their annual Pumpkin Patch, but Michael got invited to play in a benefit poker tournament so Teta & Geddo came over to go with Emma and me instead. It was a lot of fun, too - we went with all the neighbors and kiddos. We took a hayride, roasted weiners and marshmallows for smores and the kids ran and ran and ran and ran all over the playground!! They had a great time! We made it home around 9:30 - Michael was still at the tournament at that time. My parents hung around a while to visit and then tuck Emma into bed. I stayed up for a little while after to upload the pics from the evening.
You can see all the pics here. This was one of the few that Emma smiled for - she had a great time and is usually such a ham for the camera, but lately she is being so stubborn when it comes to smiling for me! They all had a lot of fun, though and it was a great evening! We missed daddy coming with us, but it turned out that he had a good night, too.
I had gone to bed after my parents left and then something woke me around 2:00 AM. I don't really know what it was, but I guess I was up investigating and heard Michael come in from the garage - he was a little anxious and said something about someone hitting him in the car and driving off...I couldn't really understand (it was 2:00 in the morning after all and I was still asleep), so I followed him outside to check out the car. He took me to look at the back bumper and I guess I thought it was b/c I was still half asleep, but I couldn't see a dent or scratch anywhere...then he pointed to the 42" LCD TV that was barely fitting in the back seat of our car. He had beat out about 90 people to take home the first place in the poker tournament. It still took me a while to comprehend after he told me!! He was so excited - and rightly so - he had played a good night obviously and came home with first place to prove it! Funny thing - we had just bought a 50" Plasma about three weeks ago!!! LOL! It was still pretty awesome of him!! He's been loving telling the stories of the night! :)
Today we also had a full day - we got up for church (very sleepy I might add b/c after Michael came in at 2:00 we were up a while b/c he was telling me the events of the evening), but we made it to church on time. It was a great service, too. Our pastor is starting a series called I'd Marry You All Over Again - a series on marriage. I'm anxious to hear it through. Afterwards I was able to get Emma to take a quick 45 minute nap before it was time to head out to Jacob's b'day party. I have pics, but won't have them up tonight. I'm doing good to write this post! We had a great time at his first b'day party. The kids all had so much fun playing and the weather was so nice! Afterwards we went back to Jamie & Steven's house to watch some football and let the kids play together a while longer. Jacob has a whole new wardrobe after his party today, too!! He got some really cute clothes and fun toys! I had a time keeping my eyes on Emma - there were ponds on either side of us and with her running everywhere we couldn't take our eyes off her for one second! Yeah - I was one of those hovering moms today! HA HA!
Well, I've posted the highlights and will get the pics up from today tomorrow hopefully - hubby wants the laptop so I will bring it to a close and go chill a while before I close my eyes!!

It's so pretty outside - I wish I was out there! I hope it's like this all weekend b/c we've got outside plans Saturday & Sunday! This week has been a busy week and I was afraid I might be working tomorrow, but it looks like maybe now I won't have to after all! Thankful for that - it's enough to lose my Fridays, don't want to work on a Saturday if I can avoid it at all possible!! I think I'm beginning to get cabin fever - I just want to get out of here and go play with Michael & Emma!

So, Saturday we took Emma to my parents' house to spend the night - I took church clothes, but mother had recently bought her a new dress for her b'day (not until December) and of course, she couldn't wait until December so she put it on her for church Sunday!! LOL!
I love the dress - it is so adorable and perfect for the cooler weather we're having right now! And I wasn't surprised that mother went ahead & gave it to her - she can never wait to give gifts once she buys them!! It was a perfect weekend for her to stay at my parents' too b/c my Grannie was in town for the weekend. My aunt had to go to Angleton for the weekend and so on her way through she stopped by my parents' house so Grannie could stay and visit for the weekend.
Sunday afternoon/evening the weather was so wonderful - we took full advantage and played outside in the backyard for a long time! We chased Sable around and played kick ball and catch and Emma climbed in/on/around her slide and playhouse! I really hope this weather lasts a long time. It so nice to be able to go outside and play and be comfortable. Next weekend we are going to the Pumpkin Patch and a b'day party which are both outside and I really hope the weather is just as nice as it is now for both!

Geddo & Teta are flying home today - actually they should already be in the air on the 2nd leg of their trip home! Emma is so excited - she's been looking up in the sky and saying, "Come down here!" since I told her they were coming home on an airplane and says we're going to the "port" to pick them up! We made signs to hold up for them, too. I made one with color and one with just outlines that Emma colored yesterday and drew all over!
They have been having a great time, but they are ready to come home - we're ready to have them home, too! I'm glad it's cooled off now so they aren't coming home to hot yucky weather - well, maybe it's still yucky outside, but at least it isn't hot! It was cold enough last night that Emma wore her jeans and jacket to dinner. I am so over the heat, I really hope this cold spell lasts a lot longer than the last one did.

It's hard to believe it's already October! I reached the halfway point in my pregnancy this week, too. Wow! Time really is flying by - now I'm on the down hill side of this race! It's also that time of the year that we've got to get the goblins 0ut. We've got to get Emma's Halloween costume, too. I don't know what she is going to be this year. It's going to be hard to top the cuteness that was last year, though. That clown outfit was too adorable and I got so lucky with it, too b/c I found it from someone at work for only $4! Have you looked at the price tags on Halloween costumes - good ones anyway - they are outrageous! I did find a cute little witch outfit, but couldn't sell Michael on it!
Last week at work I got Boo'd. Don't feel bad if you haven't heard of this b/c up until last week I hadn't either. I was out of my office for a bit and when I came back this cute little pumpkin that lights up (which Emma has grown fond of as you can see) was on my desk with candy scattered everywhere and a cute Halloween poem and instructions to pass on the fun! So, I've bought two similar sets of treats to pass on to other coworkers - you're supposed to hit up two more people - so far I've only Boo'd one coworker, though. Just haven't had time to run around and stalk their office out until they are gone so I can sneak it in! And I can't do anyone in my group b/c they would all know it's me since they know I got Boo'd myself!! It's fun, though. I have one more day this week, though to get this last one delivered - and since the rest of the company is getting their Fridays off, maybe I'll Boo a friend who is out tomorrow - I'll have to get a key from someone to get in their office tomorrow!! Hee Hee! Halloween is so much fun.

Yes, it's a fun memory from our wedding reception - when we cut the cake & my new husband served me a bite, a big piece of it fell right down the front of my wedding dress!! We had the most fun at our wedding & reception! I can't believe it's been five years already!
