Four Christmases, Two Birthdays, One Office Christmas Party, & a Rosary

That about sums up our weekend...

Michael and I were on the go all weekend. Friday we were both off & took Emma to her 2-year checkup, which went relatively well considering she had to get two shots - and we have to go back in a month for one more, but then she doesn't have to go back until she is three!

Afterwards we ran arround gift shopping - we had two birthday parties this weekend to buy for. Carlton who is two & Grayson who is three (I have pics to upload & will post the link when they are online). Since we were buying for kiddos already we decided to go ahead & buy for the kids on our Christmas list, too and a couple little things for Emma as well from Santa! We also bought a new shirt & tie for Michael to wear to my office Christmas party while we were out.

Around 1:00 we actually had already accomplished quite a bit & Emma was starting to drift to sleep so we headed home for her to take a nap & I put together a Mexican casserole for a late lunch for us. After resting up for a bit we headed off to Jamie & Steven's house. Michael & Steven's great-aunt has passed away & we were going with them to the rosary. Jamie's mother was coming over to keep Katelynn & Jacob so we left Emma with her to play with Katelynn. I was so thankful Debbie for keeping Emma, too. She is great with the kiddos & Emma loves being able to spend time playing with Katelynn - they get so excited now when they see one another! After the rosary the four of us went to see Four Christmases - it was hysterical. We had all been wanting to see it & it was the perfect time since we had Debbie watching the kids - which, by the time we called before the movie to check in were already asleep! (We asked Debbie later what her secret was! HA HA!) Our dinner ended up being cinema food, but that was alright! We had a great time hanging out for the time we could & loved the movie! I like both Reese Whitherspoon & Vince Vaughn very much -very entertaining!!

Thanks again Debbie for keeping my little one!

Saturday morning I got up and got presents wrapped for the weekend. We had Carlton's party at 2:00 - it was next door at their house so we didn't have to rush too much! The kids had a lot of fun & they all looked like little smurfs from the blue icing!!! By the time the party ended my parents had arrived - they came to pick up Emma. Since we had to get ready & leave soon for my Christmas party for work they came over to pick her up for us to save us some time! Don't know how we would have managed it all w/out the extra help! THANKS! Then we headed downtown - our party is at the Hyatt every year & they really do a great job. There are four levels of partying going on, plus an outside tent for the main entertainment (this year it was Huey Lewis). There were a couple Texas country bands inside, as well as a comedy club, jazz bands, sports bars, a casino downstairs, numbers buffets & bars everywhere! We had a good time needless to say. When the party was over we ended up heading by to my parents to sleep so we wouldn't have to drive there early in the morning to pick her up b/c we had another birthday party Sunday afternoon...yeah, our whole street was pregnant at the same time so all our kids have parties around the same time!

So, where are we now...oh right, it's Sunday morning now! Michael left early b/c he had made plans to go to his brother's house to watch the games, so Emma & I hung around with my parents for a while then around lunch they took us home to get ready for Grayson's b'day party. The kids had so much fun - they had the party at one of those jumping places close to home (which was also nice). The played & got so worn out that Emma crashed very shortly after we got in the car to head home. I have to say I was pretty sleepy, too...so I got Chinese to bring home & at a quick bite while Emma slept, worked on a few pictures, then pretty much crashed myself for a little while. She did get up about an hour later, but only to come cuddle up with me in the living room & we both napped a while longer. Even with that, I don't really feel caught up on my sleep, though. I didn't think I was going to be able to get out of bed this morning I was so sleepy!! I'm out of practice on staying up late & going, going, going all day & night I guess!!
