For the most part

we were in all weekend. Friday we had our carpets cleaned so I was home for that of course. And if I had felt better Emma & I would have gone out to let the carpet dry, but it was rainy and nasty and I still felt so miserable so we just stayed in. She is doing so much better, but yes sadly Michael and I still have the crud. My crud apparently caused a gland in my eyelid to clog so now I have a big, puffy eye. I look like Rocky Balboa & have been walking around with my hair hanging down and avoiding eye contact. It is very miserable, but as I am not about to let the doc poke around on it he said it should go away on its own in a couple of days. Ugh - I've been dealing with it since Friday already! He did give me 2 Benadryl and a Zantac to help with the swelling - mostly, though they are just making me really sleepy! I'm still debating about posting a picture!

Saturday I did tell Michael that I wanted to get out of the house. So we went to visit my parents for a little while. Mother was hosting a dinner party Saturday night so we didn't stay too late and then went to see Michael's mother for a bit. We all went out to dinner and just hung out at the house playing for a while before heading back home for the night. Yesterday was also so pretty outside so Michael & I took Emma to the park to play. I wanted to take some pictures and play around with the close-up rings my parents got me for Christmas! The wind started picking up, though so we decided it best to go home. The rest of the day was consumed with football. Surprise? Nope!

Today is very gray as I think it's supposed to start raining again today. I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow night, though b/c I don't want to have to run across the parking lot for class in the cold rain! I was planning to go out during lunch and get my nails done today, but with the weather like it is and how I feel I decided a bowl of soup from the cafeteria downstairs just sounded so much better! Hopefully the afternoon will go quickly, otherwise, I may just have to leave early if I don't improve!

  1. I meant to comment on this before - did it go away already? Did you go to the eye doc or the regular doc? The eye doc I worked for years and years ago used to have people use compresses and so forth for those. A cloth with a little sea salt solution on it can be a huge help in drawing things like that out - I use that if I have a pimple or any sort of thing I want to draw out. I just mix some sea salt in water, place it on and it almost always helps.

Of course, you want to be careful with anything you put near your eye. You don't want to hurt them!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!!
