New Mommy Tips: Another Use for Baby Wipes

Time is something I do not have anymore! It's even to the point that I keep a list of sites I want to visits or projects I want to do and it's getting so long it may take forever to accomplish! Anyway, that being said I am always look for time savers. I don't know what it is in baby wipes that works so well, but they completely and easily remove all my eye makeup. I found this out b/c one night while feeding Emma I reached over and grabbed one to wipe my face where formula had splattered (food goes everywhere) and wiped passed by eye and saw mascara. Now, in the evenings while doing things with her I'll grab one and use it to remove all my makeup! Works better than any expensive eye makeup removal product and I always have one handy so I don't worry about running out!!! The ones with extra aloe are great, too b/c they make my skin soft!! Ha ha! Double duty wipes!!

One more week...

and then this summer semester is over and I'll have a little more free time and be able to update on a more regualar basis!!! I'm taking stats this semester and it's a five week, very rigorous course...I get a test every week and now I have a paper to work on as well that is due with my final. I am working on exam III right now and then on Monday (what that exam is due) I'll get my final which will be due that following Friday. I feel like this has been a whirl wind class, but thankfully the five weeks are almost up and I'll be able to breathe again!!

Emma's First Astros Game

Emma went to her first game last Saturday...and she brought them luck! Biggio even hit a 3 run homer for her!!!!!!

Happy Father's Day!

Family

This morning Michael and I got a call about 5:00 that his grandfather had passed away. He fought very hard for his family, but now he is in a better place and not in pain any more. Please keep the family in your prayers. He was such a wonderful man and in the short four years that I knew him and was part of his family I grew to love him like he was my own grandfather. He will be so missed by everyone who ever knew him.

An apple a day, huh?

We've spent a lot of time with doctors since Thursday. Michael's grandfather has been very sick and is in ICU at the moment. He has made a lot of improvement, though since going in last week. We've gone to see him every day since Thursday, except for yesterday. Please be sure to keep him in your payers.

Yesterday we were at the doctor's office, but it was for Emma. She's been running a fever the last few days and being very lethargic. She seems to be doing a bit better herself, but not close to 100% yet. Hopefully it's something that is giong to run its course quickly so I'll have my happy baby back soon.

Otherwise, I am so busy with school. When we weren't at the hospital this weekend I had my head in the books. I had an exam due yesterday and I bet I spent 10+ hours working on it...my classmates said it took them as long also. Since this course is only five weeks we have exams weekly and cover at least two chapters each night (we meet twice a week). It&…

Pictures from East Texas & just a quick update...

I finally got some pictures uploaded from our week in East Texas. It was so relaxing - looking at the pictures (especially those floating on the water) made me want to take another week off of work!! This week has gone by quickly, though. It's arleady my Friday (since I'm off tomorrow). I am sitting amongst boxes again as I am moving to a new office over the weekend. I'll be facing downtown this time and on a clear day you can see the skyline! It's pretty overcast out there today, though! Tomorrow I have someone coming to give me an estimate on doing some work at the house. We're thinking of pulling up carpet in different areas and putting down tile and/or hardwood. Hopefully after that we'll finally get this project going - we've been talking about it forever!! I don't want to take 100% of the carpet up since Emma is about to start crawling, but tile or hardwood really is cleaner than carpet, so it might be the better choice for her as well. We'll …

Look at me sitting on my own!

Emma is getting so big now!!!

We had so much fun in East Texas this past week. It was so nice to be able to spend all day together, but now we're back at work and Emma is back at Grammy's (the babysitter)!

I am also starting my classes back tonight, so that means Michael is going to pick up Emma from Grammy's and by the time I get home on Monday and Wednesday nights she'll already be asleep. :( This was hard to handle, but thank goodness I'm almost done!

We were able to relax and just chill all week. We fished and grilled outside and visited with family and even did yard work - we bought flowers for my Grannie and re-did her flower beds for her. We did have some bad weather, but nothing that stopped us from having a good time!

I still have a bunch of pictures to upload. I took the laptop so I could work on them and have them all ready to upload, but haven't had the chance. I'll have to try to get them up this week, though!

Splish Splash!

Home again...

Well, we're back home now...Michael's already got the yard cut and looking sharp. I've still got to get the laundry from the week done, though. I have pics to upload, but don't know if I'll get to it today. Emma and her daddy are playing on the living room floor right now and they just look like they are having too much fun without me, so I think I am going to join them!!!! I'll do a good update later!!!!!
