For the most part I have really loved being pregnant...up until about two-three weeks ago. Now I am just read for Emma to get here. Poor Michael - I am really getting whiney now, but he is being so great and so attentive. I am still putting in long days at work and have class two nights a week and we have childbirth class one night a week...so my nights are long, too. We only have one more childbirth class to go to, though and the semester is coming to an end for me as well. So, not too much longer & I'll be able to relax a little bit.
Tonight our group has a presentation in marketing. I am not really stressed over it in any way, but I am ready to get it over with. Just one less thing to have to think about! And next Monday I'll be taking my accounting final early - just in case. I would rather take it early and get it over with than risk an incomplete in the class b/c I went into labor and missed the date of the final. Both my professors are being really great about the situation, though and are working with me to help me make sure I get my semester finished!
I registered for the spring semester yesterday. Since I'll be doing an independent study for the spring I won't have to attend classes at night and will be able to be home with my new family, but it's still going to be a lot of work...lots of reading and research! I have a great professor from the summer that is working on this with me!
I'll keep you updated on the progress! Elaine is going to send out an email for me to my a distribution group when Emma arrives...if I already have your email chances are you're on the list. If you want to be sure to be added just let me know!!!

Last night we had our third prepared childbirth class. We took a tour of the hospital and watched several birth videos. It was rather interesting - but I have to say that touring the hospital was great. Just knowing ahead of time where to go makes a big difference. I didn't think it would, but that added uncertainty isn't something we needed to deal with! The videos weren't nearly as graphic as I thought, either. I have to say the one we saw last week was scarier!!!
Tomorrow we're going to Michael's parents' for Thanksgiving and then Friday we're having Thanksgiving with my side of the family at my sister's house. I still can't believe the holidays are here already. This year seems to have gone by so fast.
I still have some errands to do this morning and then I am meeting Elaine for lunch and my hair is still wet so I had better get going!

After today, though I am going to be off for nine days...including the weekends of course so maybe I can relax a bit now! I am anxious to take advantage of this week off, too. Michael has gone to the deer lease one last time before it gets way too close to Emma's arrival so my parents are coming to stay with me over the weekend. Mother and I are going to finish getting Emma's room organized and do some errands I have to get finished. I need to get all of her clothes washed & organized by size so it will all be ready when she gets here. I also need to get our bags packed for the hospital, though I am not really sure what I will need exactly!
I figured I should also use the time next week to also get started on my Christmas shopping. Our Christmas list is so long & there is no way I'll feel like doing if after she gets here!! I wanted to do more shopping online this year, but that takes just as much time as going to the stores when you don't know what to get everyone! Ha ha!
I only have a few more weeks of school, too which means final exams & projects. I am taking my accounting final early (thanks professor) and am not really sure how my marketing class is going to go. I think, since I have an A anyway, my professor said if I end up missing the final he may not even make me take it! I have an A in accounting, too, but I don't think that professor would go for me skipping his final!!
Work is getting busy, too simply b/c I am trying to do as much as possible before I go out on maternity leave. There is a certain part of my job that I may have to continue to do still while out on maternity leave...thankfully I am pretty sure I can do it all from home at least. If not, the most I would have to come in would be for 1/2 a day & only once a month for the part I couldn't do at home. I have been doing this task for the entire 6 years that I have been here & have never had a back up in case I was gone. Does that mean I'm indispensable? No such thing!!! Really it means I need to write up my procedures!!! :D
So, what else is going on? Actually, I think that's enough!!! Though, I do need to try to get a haircut next week, too!

I have a doctor's appointment in the morning and I really need to get the oil changed in my jeep and the tires rotated. We're going to East Texas this weekend, too. On Saturday I am having a shower. I still need to get one more hostess give for that shower, so I can do that tomorrow, too.
We are getting Emma's room more and more put together. We put the border up last Friday and hung the canopy & a hammock for stuffed animals (I love stuffed animals) and when I came home yesterday Michael had all the linens on the crib. It looks great - pictures to come when it's all done!
Class last night got cancelled, but I have accounting tonight. I already checked my grades, though and I got an A on last week's test!! Yay me!!!! I did really feel very confident coming out of the exam!
Well, other than that there really isn't much to update about...but now I have a meeting to get ready for. Like I said, busy, busy!

We have had a full weekend!! Friday Michael and I both took off work to spend the day together since he was going out of town for the weekend - deer season opened on Saturday so the boys are off to the deer lease! We ended up getting Emma's room ready. We put the wall border up and got everything in order! It's looking so good. I'll take pictures when it's all done! We didn't have the linens for the crib at the time, but after yesterday we have that now, too! Saturday my sister-in-law through a great baby shower for Emma at my mother-in-law's house! We got the crib set so now I'll be able to put that finishing touch in Emma's room! The shower was very nice - I'll post those pictures when I get them also! We also got the travel system and I decided to go ahead and put that together at my parents' house - as soon as we got it all set up Chinook decided it looked like a good place for him to ride - I had to take a picture! He's too cute!! I hope he doesn't get jealous when Emma gets here. He's pretty good with all the other kiddos around here, though so I think he'll be fine. Ace & Oreo (our pups at home) I am worried will be really jealous of Michael and Emma, though.
Today I took some senior portraits for my nephew today, too. Since I took off tomorrow, too I might take a few more for him. It was pretty rainy and wet out today so we didn't get as much as we wanted, but we'll see how things go tomorrow. I think it's supposed to be another wet day, though. When I finish those I'll have to post a couple of my favorites!!
I'm glad I went ahead and took tomorrow off, too b/c I'm pretty tired. If it rains tomorrow I'll just use the day to rest up. Next week will be a very short week since Friday is my Friday off - so three day week - woohoo!!
Now I think I am going to finish watching Law & Order with mother! Night!!

After waiting forever, I finally have two monitors at work! The leads were the last to get them b/c there were only three of us and 30 specialists in our department and it was determined the specialist needed the more, which I can agree with - but this morning I got my 2nd monitor installed! Yay!!!
