Progress...

I am visiting my doctor weekly now...and on my last appointment she told me that I have dilated to 1 cm!! I am so happy there is progress! I know it could still be a few weeks, but hopefully not. I am due in three weeks, but I have been having so many contractions lately that I really hope it's sooner.

For the most part I have really loved being pregnant...up until about two-three weeks ago. Now I am just read for Emma to get here. Poor Michael - I am really getting whiney now, but he is being so great and so attentive. I am still putting in long days at work and have class two nights a week and we have childbirth class one night a week...so my nights are long, too. We only have one more childbirth class to go to, though and the semester is coming to an end for me as well. So, not too much longer & I'll be able to relax a little bit.

Tonight our group has a presentation in marketing. I am not really stressed over it in any way, but I am ready to get it over with. Just one le…

Happy Thanksgiving!

Holiday Happenings...

I have been off this week and it's been so great! I really needed this week off to get things done. I still haven't done everything I needed, too, but I get started early in the morning and just go go go until I am tired - which is usually pretty early these days.

Last night we had our third prepared childbirth class. We took a tour of the hospital and watched several birth videos. It was rather interesting - but I have to say that touring the hospital was great. Just knowing ahead of time where to go makes a big difference. I didn't think it would, but that added uncertainty isn't something we needed to deal with! The videos weren't nearly as graphic as I thought, either. I have to say the one we saw last week was scarier!!!

Tomorrow we're going to Michael's parents' for Thanksgiving and then Friday we're having Thanksgiving with my side of the family at my sister's house. I still can't believe the holidays are here already. This year seems t…

I'm ready for the holidays...

Actually, the holidays can bring a lot of stress for me unfortunately, but this year I can't afford to stress! I'm going to have a new baby after all!

After today, though I am going to be off for nine days...including the weekends of course so maybe I can relax a bit now! I am anxious to take advantage of this week off, too. Michael has gone to the deer lease one last time before it gets way too close to Emma's arrival so my parents are coming to stay with me over the weekend. Mother and I are going to finish getting Emma's room organized and do some errands I have to get finished. I need to get all of her clothes washed & organized by size so it will all be ready when she gets here. I also need to get our bags packed for the hospital, though I am not really sure what I will need exactly!

I figured I should also use the time next week to also get started on my Christmas shopping. Our Christmas list is so long & there is no way I'll feel like doing if after sh…

Brrr...rabbit!

It's cold outside now & I'm in short sleeves and don't have a jacket with me! I didn't realize it was going to chill so much this evening...guess that's what I get for not checking the weather. You know, it's beautiful around here this time of year, but you have to wear layers every day b/c you never know what it's going to be like outside from hour to hour! I am sure when I get out of class tonight it's going to be even colder, so I parked as close as I could so at least I could quickly get out of it when it's time to head home!!!

Quick fun...

Quiet means busy...

I know I've been quiet this week...it's b/c things are so busy. Especially here at work. There is so much going on - I am glad tomorrow is my Friday off. I still have a lot to keep me busy tomorrow, but at least I won't have to come into the office.

I have a doctor's appointment in the morning and I really need to get the oil changed in my jeep and the tires rotated. We're going to East Texas this weekend, too. On Saturday I am having a shower. I still need to get one more hostess give for that shower, so I can do that tomorrow, too.

We are getting Emma's room more and more put together. We put the border up last Friday and hung the canopy & a hammock for stuffed animals (I love stuffed animals) and when I came home yesterday Michael had all the linens on the crib. It looks great - pictures to come when it's all done!

Class last night got cancelled, but I have accounting tonight. I already checked my grades, though and I got an A on last week's test!!…

Chinook is ready to ride...

We have had a full weekend!! Friday Michael and I both took off work to spend the day together since he was going out of town for the weekend - deer season opened on Saturday so the boys are off to the deer lease! We ended up getting Emma's room ready. We put the wall border up and got everything in order! It's looking so good. I'll take pictures when it's all done! We didn't have the linens for the crib at the time, but after yesterday we have that now, too! Saturday my sister-in-law through a great baby shower for Emma at my mother-in-law's house! We got the crib set so now I'll be able to put that finishing touch in Emma's room! The shower was very nice - I'll post those pictures when I get them also! We also got the travel system and I decided to go ahead and put that together at my parents' house - as soon as we got it all set up Chinook decided it looked like a good place for him to ride - I had to take a picture! He's too cute!! I hop…

Holiday Party

We got an email today announcing the details of our Christmas Party this year for work. We never have company wide parties like this b/c we're so big, but this year they are making exception! We're going to be downtown w/ private clubs, acts, various music, and entertainment & a private concert by Clay Walker (swoon)!!! We are also getting great rates on the rooms so we don't have to drive home that night - which will be awesome! This way we can get there early, check in, relax, and then just get dressed there. Now, I just hope that Miss Emma allows me to go! I really would like to go, but if she decides to make an early appearance it may not be up to me! But, I think I'll take her over Mr. Walker any day!!!!

Finally...Two Monitors

After waiting forever, I finally have two monitors at work! The leads were the last to get them b/c there were only three of us and 30 specialists in our department and it was determined the specialist needed the more, which I can agree with - but this morning I got my 2nd monitor installed! Yay!!!
