Since Saturday was a surprise, I just had it listed as "party" in my post it notes, b/c I didn't want to spoil the surprise for my sister! We had a great time & I believe the birthday girl was definitely surprised! It was great to get the family all together, too.

Then on Sunday while driving out to my mother-in-law's for a wedding shower, I got a nail in my tire! I must have picked it up on the beltway, b/c a truck driver next to me started honking and when I looked over he was waving his hand up & down. I guess I don't know freeway hand signal for low tire, b/c I didn't have a clue what he was saying.

After I exited my jeep started pulling slightly to the right - then "low tire" popped into my head. When I got to my mother-in-law's house it was indeed very low. I went in to tell her & we decided to go air it up before we left for the shower, but in just that short amount of time before we went back outside it was too low to drive anymore. We went on to the shower & when we got home it was fixed! Michael & his dad & brother had come in from the deer lease while we were gone & he changed the tire for me. during lunch I had to drop it off at Discount Tire to get it fixed. I needed to go anyway really b/c my tires needed rotating. I am glad the nail stuck in & just started a slow leak instead of blowing out while I was on the freeway. That would not have been a fun day!

We still have two weekends in a row w/ something on the calendar and then after that we have only one weekend in September w/ plans - another wedding, would you believe!! I am definitely looking forward to some down time & I am really going to need it; grad-school starts back up August 30th & studying is going to be back on the priority list!!
