Friday night we went to the church for rehearsal. Michael was a groomsmen (it was his little brother after all). The church was so pretty...with an amazing pipe organ that was the focal point of the sanctuary! Actually, our neighbors got married there & I had see the inside of the church from their wedding video...but it's so much more beautiful in person! Afterwards, we had dinner at Las Rosas (I couldn't find a website) - a great Mexican restaurant nearby. Jamie & Steven had prepared a DVD of for us to watch, too of pictures of themselves growing up & then together after they started dating! It was so sweet!
After dinner a group of us (excluding the bride & groom of course) head to the racetrack to see Kevin Fowler. It was a great concert, but way way too hot & crowded! I had straightened my hair for the evening and by the time we left it was in ringlets!!! We still had a good time, though! It was late when we got in so we went straight to bed of course. Michael's youngest brother, their cousin, & his girlfriend stayed with us, too.
The guys all had to be at Michael's parents' house to catch the limo around 2:00 so we headed over early after we all got ready & took a lot of pictures before they left. I used my mother-in-law's camera, though so I don't have them in my album. When they left we all followed behind and headed to the church. It really looked so pretty! The girls were taking pictures when we got there; I was glad b/c I hadn't seen Jamie's dress yet! It was so pretty!
After the ceremony & more pictures we headed to the reception. We had a blast! There was so much dancing & dinner was great! I don't think Jamie & Steven sat out one dance. They looked like they were having a great time! Everyone did! We sent the couple off with rose petals & lots of cheers! I know they are excited to be on their honeymoon now!
Congrats Jamie & Steven...
We were one of the last ones to leave. Michael's cousin & girlfriend came back to stay the night with us again. We were so tired! The next day we slept in. When we finally got up we took the tuxedos back & walked around the mall for a while & then had lunch - er, dinner I guess! Then we went by Gander Mt. for a little while before they had to leave. Michael and I spent the rest of the day mostly on the couch, but had to go out once for groceries for the week.
Tonight we're going to my parents' house to celebrate my sister's b'day, which was Friday. My niece's was two days before her's actually and today is my nephew's...so I guess we'll be celebrating all three actually!
Now we'll be getting ready for my other niece's wedding, which is in only three weeks!!!!
