at Kathy's and thought it was very interesting. If you copy it to your own blog leave me a comment ~ I'd like to read what you have to say, too!

Ethics/Personal Life:
Has a blog post ever got you into trouble?
No, It hasn't got me into trouble, but someone I knew a long time ago left a lot of hateful comments once b/c of a post that I wrote. It was a complicated situation with an ex - the comments were left anonymously, but I was able to find out who it was from their ISP.

How many people do you know face-to-face who read your weblog?
A lot actually. A few of my family members read and several friends...and of course those friends that I have through the blog.

Do you modify or delete posts? How often? Why?
Not really...though, if I post something that later I find to be untrue I will definitely go back and correct it...

How much is your weblog a part of your personal identity? Do you feel like people who don’t know about your blog don’t really know you?
I don't know...I mean, I am pretty much the same in real life and as I write. Sometimes I would like to throw tantrums in real life and may hold back, but will write up a long rant rather here.

How has blogging changed your life?
I don't know necessarily that it has change my life. I have met a lot of people through this blog and was even quoted in the Chronicle and USA Today b/c of my blog!

Do you know how to code at all? Did you learn how to code by blogging?
I learned everything I know about coding from my blog...and that's the only way I can put my sites together now. I also do a lot of copying and pasting for code...and if I get stuck trying to make a table look the way I want, I will build the tables in FrontPage and then copy the code. I have a lot of friends were are very proficient and after I have exhausted other resources to find code I end up bugging them for help!

What weblogging tool do you use and why?
I started with Blogger, but now I use pMachine.

Is your design an integral part of your writing and presentation?
My blog has changed a lot over the years, but for a while now I have enjoyed the whimsical-ness of the fairy theme and I hope to stick with it for a while...whether it's part of my writing I cannot really say. This blog is my personal space on the web and like my bedroom I have to be comfortable in it to be able to express myself.

How many times have you changed your weblog design entirely (or nearly so)?
I would imagine I have had about five completely different designs, but since going with pMachine I have at least stuck with the same theme.

How many people would you guess (educated guess based on hit counts/logfiles) read your weblog on a weekly basis at least?
I used to read my referrals a lot...now I only check it about once every two weeks b/c my comments tell me a lot about people who visit. There are a few that read that don't leave comments, though ~ but i don't think I could make a good estimate since I don't visit my referrals that often.

What have you done to get more people to look at your site?
I am on a couple of membership sites (one big one is H-Town Blogs) and webrings, but I also leave my URL whenever I visit and comment on someone's site.

What one or two characteristics make a blog really popular?
Wit...and openness ~ at least, those are two things that bring me back!

What really popular weblog do you think most deserves it?
I can't say...I frequent people I know more than anything b/c I like to know what's going on with them. There are others that I read simply b/c they are good writers, though I maybe don't always agree with what they say. I don't necessarily follow "popular" blogs - I read b/c I like to, not b/c others do.

Influence of Other Bloggers:
What other blogger is most responsible for you starting your own weblog?
That's an easy one...Elaine got me into blogging.

Who was the first other blogger (that you know of) who put you on their sidebar?
I don't have a clue!!!

What other blogger do you most admire for their writing skills?
Even though I don't agree with a lot of what she says sometimes, I have to say that I keep coming back to Emily's blog b/c I think her writing is outstanding! I love to come back and read of a simple situation that she has made more interesting with her writing.

What other blogger do you most admire for their design skills?
There are a lot of designs out there that I really like, but I really can't think of any single design that stands out.

Who is a blogger you think is really good but doesn’t get nearly the attention they are worthy of?
I think most of the good bloggers out there get the attention that they deserve.

Do you feel obligated to link people who you never read?
Nope! Absolutely not...if I like the blog, I link it. There are a couple that I used to read, but don't so much anymore that are still on my blogroll simply b/c I have not taken the time to clean it up. I don't like long blogrolls b/c I can't make it through all of them as frequent as I would like...so I link to those that I really enjoy and try to keep up with those!
